Ayanna Blair-Ford is a London-based production designer, creative director, and multidisciplinary artist of Caribbean heritage, trained in architecture at the Royal College of Art. She creates bold, narrative driven visual worlds rooted in Black British and queer experience, blending cultural storytelling with strong spatial design and cinematic world-building. Her recent work includes Afterbirth, Hindsight, Bless You, The Donor, and BBC Films’ End of Play, alongside campaigns and live experiences for Hayu, TikTok, Grindr, Marshall, British Vogue, Nothing, and Square.

Ayanna Blair-Ford is a London-based multidisciplinary artist and designer of Caribbean heritage, trained in architecture at the Royal College of Art. She creates bold, narrative-driven visual worlds rooted in Black British and queer experience, treating space, objects, and atmosphere as active layers of storytelling. Her work blends cultural storytelling with strong spatial design, emotional detail, and cinematic world-building.
Her recent narrative work includes production designing Afterbirth (dir. Amy Cudden), Hindsight (dir. Remi Moses), and Bless You (dir. Alicia Quayson), all currently in post-production, and The Donor, which premiered at SOUL Fest 2025, won multiple awards, and was selected for Aesthetica Film Festival. She was also art director on BBC Films’ End of Play(dir. Edem Wornoo), which premiered at BFI London Film Festival and went on to screen at Aesthetica and Bolton Film Festivals, winning Best Sci-Fi/Fantasy Film at Bolton.
Alongside narrative film, Ayanna also designs and art directs for commercials and branded content. Her work includes campaigns for Nothing, Square, British Vogue (Now Serving with Tyla), and IWF, as well as assisting on high-profile adverts such as Fiverr with Steven Bartlett and Morrisons’ Prices Locked Low.
Beyond screen work, she is also a creative director and spatial designer for live events and immersive experiences. She has led creative direction, set design, and design development for brands and platforms including Hayu, TikTok, Grindr, Marshall, Spotify, SXSW, and Tinder. She frequently collaborates with designers, producers, and creatives in the live events space, and is often brought on for early-stage concept development, visual world-building, and design consultation for experiential projects.
