If I Ain’t Got You (Orchestral) is a reimagined music video for Alicia Keys, directed by Diane Martel and released in 2023 in conjunction with Netflix’s Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. Created to mark the 20th anniversary of the song, the film features Alicia Keys performing alongside a 70-piece global orchestra of women of colour.

I worked as Art Director, supporting Production Designer Chris Melgram across the project. A key part of my role involved transforming a school hall into a grand orchestral performance space, alongside designing and dressing multiple secondary environments and studio vignettes that supported the visual language of the film, many of which were created despite not making the final cut.

This is a project that truly needs to be watched, as stills only hint at the scale, detail, and movement within the design. Working closely as Chris Melgram’s number two was an incredibly rewarding experience, and it was a joy to be part of such a powerful collaboration with Netflix, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, and Alicia Keys.
